THE WHITE HILL SYNDICATE

now in post production.

The Start.

(of something new)

On 9/10/2020 in Nashville, Tennessee production began on the Frost Studios Slate.

Over the course of production we navigated complex situations each day with a sense of fun and creativity. And by collaborating with a team of intelligent, driven creatives we managed to maintain the vision we set out with from the start.

Ryan Fahey - Teddy Harper

Born and raised in the suburbs of Nashville, Ryan started acting in plays growing up after being inspired by his uncle Jeff Fahey (Lost, Criminal Minds.) The White Hill Syndicate marks Ryan’s film debut.

Zack met Ryan while working at a country club here in Nashville. When he saw him he exclaimed “I’m gonna make you a star, kid!” And Ryan looked at him with serious concern and confusion. Zack was fired shortly after the incident.

It was a blast to work with such an enthusiastic, young talent. Ryan took on the challenge of leading the film with a real sense of responsibility. He asked questions when he had them and wasn’t afraid to admit when he was nervous. The result is an honest and vulnerable performance as Teddy Harper.

Gary McGuire - The Narrator

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Gary has acted and directed at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in such plays as The Taming of the Shrew (Petruchio), Fiddler On The Roof (Tevye), and Promises Promises.

The role of the narrator was a late addition to the script and a very tough one to cast. He introduces the audience to the story of White Hill and he had to be immediately charismatic, mysterious, and welcoming all at the same time. Luckily, Gary McGuire exists as a person in the world.

He has a warmth to him that says “I’m Santa Claus” while also possessing the ability to access a darkness that says “You’re getting coal for Christmas.” He is, to put it simply, the man.

Nick Battiste - Ray Fischer

Born and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey, Nick started acting in plays through out elementary and high school. Nick trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts graduating with a BFA in Drama. Nick has made appearances in the television shows “Surface” and “One Tree Hill.”

You ever meet someone and you’re just like “Wow. I feel like I’ve know that dude my whole life”? That’s Nick. From the moment we saw Nick’s audition tape we just knew he was the one. We had a whole list of people audition for the part and he was the only person we wanted.

Through the callback process, meeting him for rehearsal, and finally filming on location, Nick was not only an acting powerhouse but the kindest of souls you could ask to have on set. We’re very lucky to have him as our Ray Fischer.

“Ray, enough! They saw me see them and now they’re looking for us. We need to come up with a plan for when they figure out where we are.”

Masked professionals. We’re like the sons of Christopher Nolan and Bane. Working with actors while wearing a mask isn’t fun… but it’s necessary.

Also note our dedication to dress semi-period on set.

We decided to have Ryan wear shorts on the day of filming.

The decision can be accredited to a friend of Jeremy’s who worked at a country club in the 70’s and he claimed that the employees would most definitely be wearing shorts.

If he lied to us he will be hearing from our lawyers.

“Everette and his boys aren’t going to march into the fucking hurricane to check the greenskeepers shed.”
